Recap: Our year 2022

After a short winter break, we are back and wish all our partners and customers a happy 2023! We look back with joy on the past year, which was characterized by growth, new focus and a lot of team spirit. You can read a summary of what happened here:

Excellent.
Our new design for Knärzje won over the jury of the German Design Awards 2023 and was awarded a Special Mention in the “Excellent Communications Design - Packaging” category - hooray!

New work.
2022 once again held some exciting projects in store for us. For example, we were able to create a new brand and packaging identity for the new erotic toys of Müller's own brand Young Hearts. We also helped our client Schrader to create an authentic brand communication. We are also delighted to have gained a well-known, medium-sized beauty company as a new customer. Visible on the shelf from summer 2023. Stay tuned!

Our agency.
Our team has grown steadily in recent months, which means that we are now much more broadly based. We have created a new format to give you even more insights into our day-to-day agency life. With our interview series “We want to know”, you can get to know our team even better: https://www.youtube.com/@echd....

What about 2023?

This year, we want to support our customers even more than before in an advisory capacity. Be it when it comes to sustainable packaging materials, how efficiency can be increased in the design process or what is particularly important for a start-up in terms of product and brand presence. Our goal for 2023 is to strengthen and expand our collaboration with selected partners from the production sector.

With this in mind: Cheers to the new year & let's do this!

Recap: epda 2024 (Bordeaux)

Bordeaux, April 18, 2024

Bonjour! Last week, our CCO & Managing Partner Max and our Creative Director Paul traveled to the sunny southwest of France for the epda congress. They brought with them a presentation on “Fighting food waste - How purpose creates value”, as they took over the stage as speakers together with Knärzje founder Dan Anthes.

Under the motto “Thrive. Don't just survive!”, the program included exciting expert presentations, plenty of networking and, of course, wine tasting with design colleagues from all over Europe. And all of this in a beautiful, inspiring location.

With these 3 learnings, we boarded the plane back to Frankfurt:

1. A.I. is both a curse and a blessing

We have to take our customers by the hand and show them how we can use A.I. to add value to the resulting work. It becomes dangerous when clients use A.I. tools to develop their own designs without taking marketing strategy and buyer behavior into account.

2. pitches damage the agencies and the brand

Poorly paid pitches mean that agencies cannot afford to put their A-teams on projects. European agencies need to come together to find a sustainable solution for agencies AND clients.

3. wine from Bordeaux is simply ... a pleasure!

You can find more impressions of our epda trip on Instagram. Check out this Reel!

What is the epda?

The European Brand & Packaging Design Association (epda) offers its members a platform for networking and exchanging knowledge on trends and packaging design at European level.

We mourn the loss of Noam

Sometimes there are moments in life that you never expect to happen - and this is one of them. Our long-time colleague Noam sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last Saturday.

We are not just mourning the loss of a colleague - Noam was so much more to us: he was a friend, an advisor and always there when we needed support, and he shared with us his dream of sailing his own boat around the world. He firmly believed that we could hit the big lottery jackpot together and encouraged us to take long walks during our lunch break. His precise eye, his passion for good design and his enormous sense of duty and at the same time relaxed manner, characterized Noam.Noam, we miss you so much.our thoughts and our deepest sympathy are with his wife, his two children and his whole family, to whom we now wish a lot of strength.
